Best Oil

What is the BEST engine oil to use on M5/M6 2013+?
Recommended oil weight? (never have been a fan of Bmw's twin power turbo etc oil)

i like mobile 0w-40

Previous owner told me he was burning 1 qt every 1k mile using whatever BMW told him. Upon taking delivery of car i did full oil change to mobile 0w-40 and now 1500 miles later not a drop of oil has burned.

I also used this oil in my AMGs.

I use Mobil 0w-40 as well. Everyone has their own choice, but 0w40 has been great for me.

0w40 or 5w40. The 5w30 is too thin.

I was going to change to 5w-40 liqui moly, but mobil 0w40 is so convenient. I burn a quart 3000-5000 miles depending on my driving.

At 2k miles on the 0w-40 Mobil 1 oil stick is reading 4/5 so burned a little bit. Mix of driving mostly highway some aggressive.

Will do full oil change this weekend and now switch to 5w-40 liqul moly.
