On a side note, I think if I was in the 15-20 category I would have drifted my m5 into a wall by now. lol

"Other" is either the F10 M5 that Daddy Warbucks bought their son for their 13th birthday or is Morgan Freeman.

I personally am astonished that the this car is owned mostly by people under 30. I am 34 and I thought that I was moving into an older mans car which I did because I have already had 3 m3's in my 20's. I would think that m3s suit a person in that age group much better with all the tuning and racing mind sets, ect...

Just blows me away at why the m3 isn't the #1 choice of people under 30, maybe it is if we did comparison it would show.

I still think this car suits a mid aged, wild businessman and I'm sticking to it!!

LOL. So true. After my 1984 S-10 blew up 4 months after I got my license, I got a 1989 Trans Am. That was alot of car for a 16 year old gear head, I look back and wonder how I am still alive. My kids are going to drive 1978 Ford LTD's until they are 20.

Back in 1995, My first car when I was 16 was a 1988 Trans Am GTA. I killed it in 11 days... Lucky I didn't kill my self... Thank GOD I've learned a lot since then...

The M5 is absolutely not mostly owned by people under 30. However, we now know that our fellow M5Post members are mostly people under 30. No offense to anyone here, but this is a highly-skewed universe.

I agree with the M3 vs M5 comment. The M5 is primarily marketed to middle-aged types (sorry, but regardless of all the hype of our younger members, most 20-somethings simply cannot afford the car).

Same thing with me.

Spent my 20s driving a 328 cabrio, 330 cabrio and M3 cabrio. All manual gearbox chick magnet cars.

Graduated to V8 sport sedans when I was 33. I could have bought an M5 in my twenties but I had no interest in 4 door cars back then.

I think the M5 is targeted to an edgy brash C level executive in his 30s who is known for thinking outside the box and being action oriented!
