wait till it rains. Drift at lower speeds and save your tire tread!

Hi

I have done a bit of sideways driving in my F10, and lots in my previous M3.

I learnt to control little baby slides in 1st, moving to bigger ones in 2nd before moving on to 3rd gear power slides, which are really cool. Need a proper amount of space, however as I suffered a couple of really big spins especially in 3rd!

If you persevere, like we did it is possible to get access to your local track...

Youtube search on 1kiwistu ....M3 and M5 nothing too wild, just an average joe having a crack, got bored watching top gear and thought we had better have a go.

Also google "will it drift m5" he a bit harsh on the car...

Cheers
stu

Google beginner drift lessons/events for your area you are willing to travel... Learning in public leads to tickets and accidents. There are often places like you stated (parking lots) That clubs have weekend events that you can light the tires up on to learn the control to give you the confidence to lay it down when possible.
I mean no disrespect to your ability just have seen people with to much HP that give people with car control a bad name. The F10 M5 is 50/50... Get an Rx7 (also 50/50) and learn there thats what I did as a teen and it definitely helps me keep up with the M5. Its also cheaper to fix when you tap shizz... It happens youtube it .. Some people are impressive just how bad they can F up so learn safe and as cheap as possible

Aloha
