I like to think that one government (i.e. my own) and their red tape is more than enough for me.
My advice:
- Get a local speedtrap app (when in Germany check radarfalle.de, Netherlands flitsmeister.nl etc.)
- Don't speed more than 30 miles/hour over the posted speed limit. Worst case you'll get a big fine but they won't take your car.
- If they do send out a ticket, pay it if that makes you feel better. Or don't.
Amen

I had the Sam attitude as you but it's clear atleast between UKm and CH they have optimised the red tape.

That is sickening.
So as a EU citizen, you'll have to deal with 28 governments plus Brussels

I ran two apps on my phone during my ED... Trapster and Waze. Both worked quite well as long as there was proper cell service (which was about 90%) of the time. Trapster had a pretty good cache system, and a strong database of speed trap locations throughout all of Europe.

The only place we saw a flash was in Kaiserslautern Germany.. My wife was driving about 70 in a 50, and the app wasn't running at the time. We saw the flash, I turned the app on for her, and sure enough the speed camera was there.

Here's how I set mine up... pretty simple really with this clip: http://store.apple.com/us/product/HC...phone?fnode=46

As I cruise at 140MPH...
