Pilot Super Sports or Pilot Sport 4s?

My fronts need replacing and I'm wondering if I should try out the new Pilot Sport 4S. From what I've read they come out in a few days and will be the replacement for the Super Sport. Since it's so new, do you guys think it's worth being an early adopter or should I stick with Super Sports? Price difference is about $15 each on tire rack. My rears are Super Sports BTW.

Vredesteins .... They don't get much love on here but hands-down the best tires I've ever owned for the F10 M5 platform. I'm on my 2nd F10 M5 and 8th set of tires ... tried everything out there including MPSS's . The Vreds will not last quite as long as others but you'll notice better traction from both a dig and a roll. Do a search for. Vredesteins on the wheels / tires section of the forum to get more feedback.

Pricing is very reasonable as well and available in 21" fitments.

Best of luck.

Have you tried the Toyo R888R and can compare to Vreds?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm really looking to stick with Michelin. I don't need stickier and I need tires that will at least last a decent mileage.

So back to my original question: would you try a brand new tires or stick with tried and true (even though tried and true is being replaced by the new tire)

I had a set on my 13' M5 and they were great as well. Similar to the Vreds in terms of life and performance. The Toyos were a couple of years ago so I'm speaking from what I remember.

Do like the Vreds better than MPSS & Pirellis.

In your situation I would go with the 4s. I havent read any reviews on the 4s, but if they are similar to PSS, then why not? I thought the MPSS for our m5 are difficult to source correct sizes?

I'm in the same boat and will be going with the 4s as soon as they are back in stock.

Ordered PS4S's about a week ago so I can have them available when my PSS's wear out and not risk them being backordered. Have read rave reviews on the testing of the PS4s's (probably all marketing) but it really appears to be an improvement on the already superb PSS's which I do love. I figured might as well spend just a tiny bit more to get Michelin's top dog.

I'm a retired US Marine and we have an exchange online store ordertire.com which unfortunately is only available to military members. I ordered the Michelin PS4S's from them and they price match with anyone's lowest listed price.

I just ordered 4S (275/35-20) for the front and CUP 2 (305/30-20) Rear.
The 4S are so new the sales guy at discount tire didn't believe me when I said they are showing 'in stock' on their web site. Can't wait to get these suckas mounted.

I'm looking into new tires as well. These are at the top of my list. I was just looking at those same sizes from tire rack, 275/35-20, and 305/30-20. Those fit the stock 20" rims that come with our cars? Is there anything else you have to do to put them on? Spacers or anything like that?
