Next Porsche Panamera Turbo will lap Nurburgring faster than Carrera GT

Damn, these sedans are getting faster and faster. ///M Division better come up with something good to compete in 2 years.

I can't wait to see the new Panamera .....I will buy the GTS hands down love the handling and interior. The new one should look more like a 911 .....turbo is fast but depreciates like a mother.

The next Panamera should look pretty good. I'm not a fan of the shooting brake version though. The next Panamera GTS should be real interesting. I don't think Porsche is going to offer an NA V8 any more, so that leaves a 6 cyl or a V8 Turbo engine and I'm sorry you just can't have a GTS Porsche that has a turbo engine in it, it's just not right. Lol!

aside from the turbo and future turbo S, Porsche's own 4L TTV8 engine is the only one they have engineered (if I am not mistaken), all the other engines are sourced from Audi. That's a big turn off for me as I was going to get into a Panny comes this winter or early spring (2017).

Why would I pay tens of thousands $ more for a Porsche with an Audi engine ? very disappointed in Porsche (as I am aware of they are trying to save $ by sharing the group's technology)

Audi makes Lambo engines .......supply chain we spec it, and you build it. Very common in engineering. BMW use to build all Range Rober engines. As long as it works right.

Well, that means the Pam will be quicker than the next gen. M5 for sure, I doubt the M5 will go under 7:28 lol.

Still, that's a huge jump in performance, I will believe it when I see it.

Perhaps, but everyone knows the best Porsche's (at least for road use) are the turbos!

If you drive the new 991.2 Carrera S, you will find it is much better than the 991.1 Carrera GTS. Of course nothing compares to the big turbos!

I'm interested in the shooting brake/wagon. If I am going to drive a big car then I need it be practical too. That is partly why I had a M5 and now a X5M (because I needed AWD).

The current Panny doesn't work for me with 2 seating in the back and the small trunk.

I'm looking forward to comparing the next M5 and Panamera.
