Frontlipspoiler F10 M5

Hi all,

My F10 M5 had the factory trunkspoiler and diffuser.

Recently I was in Germany driving over 310km/u (192 mph). I had the feeling the front end of the car could use more downforce to create better handling and a more secureness.

So I'm thinking about installing a frontlipspoiler for functional reasons.

This one should be me made of high quality carbon and designed to create downforce and better aerodynamics:

Thank you very much in advance.

I've seen this spoiler before years back and it looks made for high speed stability with the centre piece designed in a certain way I would say to speed up the airflow under the middle of the floor pan, and being firmly mounted it may also raise your top speed slightly.

Using that 102 RON Aral Ultimate fuel there could even give you more boost.

Thanks. That's what I'am looking for.

I’ve had two of them on mine with the third about to mounted this week. Fitment was about 95% without making any modifications. A few of the bolt holes were a little off center but you can definitely make it work. Quality is good when brand new but the color will fade out over time. It doesn’t handle rock chips all that well but this time, I will apply a film of PPF to see if that helps. I’ve attached a few photos of mine and you can see the rock chips.

I daily drive mine so my chances of rock chips, damage and discoloration are high hence why I keep them stocked up.

I can’t comment on downforce performance but the combination of my car being lowered along with the splitter, there isn’t much air sliding under the car. If you like to venture out past 280km/h, I would also suggest that you remove the bumper when installing it. This is truly the safest and most effective way to install it but you can certainly do it without removing the bumper. If you’re not going to remove the bumper, I suggest you apply some good double sided 3M tape across the top that meets up with the bumper, use bolts instead of screws and use wide washers. Otherwise I think the air will find a way and begin to separate if from the bumper.

One of the best looking splitters for our car but you must take the time to install it right and PPF if you can.

Good luck with the install. Send some pics when done.
