Looking for input on a hail damaged car never titled

Hi guys
I'm coming over from the F15 forum.
I have the itch to get into a F10.
I saw a BMW dealership in the NE that has a 2014 never titled on their lot.
Was in stock fall 2013.
Has ~ 2300 miles on it (need to explore how that was run up)
Carfax shows nothing about damage or salvage
It is fully loaded including ceramic brakes, DCT, LED lights, extended leather, driving assistance, exec pack, fineline trim, NO COMP PACKAGE
the pics show less than high resolution pics but a few pics show roof with a lot of pot marks. The trunk and hood looked fine.
Offering it at ~$77K, I was going to look to offer $65K
I would imagine it will still have full warranty of 4 years when titled, as I said carfax never showed it was sold or titled. What do you think?
I would look to see if paint could be warranted also need to see if windshield or sunroof was replaced.

I would exercise a lot of caution.

I once had a 911 turbo that was pristine as the day is long, gorgeous car. When I was looking at the car to buy it, the car fax was clean, no accidents, and an inspection showed no evidence of any prior repairs that could be detected. 2 years after I bought it, I went to sell the car and car fax had picked up an accident from 2 years before I bought it. So, carfax is not perfect.

All things considered, bet you can get a pretty good, perhaps better, deal on a 13 or 14 that doesn't have a story.

2300 miles without title?? Pass....it was the village bicycle for the dealer. For all you know it could've been 2300 miles of burnouts.

Carfax won't show anything if repairs were not done through insurance; or accidents not reported. Many dealers have their own body shops to fix things.

no reason to buy this car.

65k with a potential story. you can find another 14 easily (the way prices are now) for 65 or less.

Do you have pics or the link of the listing? It would help to see if it is worth it. If only the roof is damaged, advanced pdr can fix most of it. With that kind of mileage, it was most likely a manager's demo car. I would try bargaining at an lower price, right around 58k and work your way up. Damage on roofs caused are not covered under BMW warranty, if it were me, I would send the car to IND and have them replaced the factory roof and sunroof with their carbon fiber roof.

I noticed the driver side rear seat looks damaged by possible stain

I'm waiting for call back from their GM and higher quality pics

I'm thinking if any glass was replaced the chances of rain and water damage make this a total no go

I'm hedging leaving it alone and getting a lease turn in with no history

They are nuts thinking $77k, it's been on floor since 2013

M5

My brother was selling his GL , and before posting it he bought Carfax, and everything was PERFECT, but .... when he sold it and presented all the paperwork to the seller, he infact purchased new carfax a month later and there was a $12000 claim. These guys screw up every so often.
As per your case, it seems to me that you really want that car.
The only thing that I would say, that I do agree with all of the post above, + if you really want this one that bad, THIS HAS TO BE A ( STEAL ) DEAL, otherwise you will get the pinch in the future.
What is going to happen is that BMW will, write the costs down with the car, and it will show on the carfax as misc damage. Dealer will never be a looser here in this situation, only you. Even at $55 g's this is not something I would have bought. Ask yourself that question, if this is such a good deal at $77 why is it still for sell ? That is my 5 cents worth

The above reminds me of someone I knew who bought a "newly" registered E30 M3 from a Main Dealer in the UK in 1990 very cheaply with less than a 1000 miles on it - after he bought it, it turned out the dealer had re-shelled the car themselves after an employee had a heavy accident - it was plagued with issues and the dealer denied everything - he ended up selling it almost for parts..... Buyer beware !

And
I know which car your talking abouT.I bought an m3 and Range Rover sport from the same dealer back when the storm happened about 2 years ago. Believe it or not I was able to get most of the dings out with paintless dent removal. The m5, they replaced the hood, trunk, paintless dented the sides. I am unsure why they didn't do the roof because it can be done if you find the right paintless dent guy. That car has only been driven by the owner of the dealer because I inquired about it in the past. I would think you can get the price down on that because they have it for awhile. The title is 100% clean, wouldn't be a bad deal for the right price.

No glass was broken on that car.

This car has been for sale for a very long time. At one point they we're offering to sell the car in the 40k range, but then for some reason they bumped it back up to the 70k range, weird. I remember seeing this car in person when I lived in the NorthEast. It is pretty F'd up. Hail damage all over really. No way I would even consider buying it for more than 40k or even at all. Not worth the hassle of doing the repairs and paying out of pocket for it. It's not like you can do an insurance claim after the fact and it is super weird how the car has that many miles on it yet has never been titled. Stay away.

This car was never in the 40k range. Infact, this is the lowest it's ever been priced. What dealer is it at if you've seen it person? Secondly, the car has been fully repaired and except for the roof. I'm not saying to buy it but for the right price it would be worth it as I've personally bought two hail damaged cars from this dealer and had both repaired no problem.

The car has the miles because the owner of the dealer drives the car. Wouldn't you if you had an m5 sitting all this time and you can drive it without registering it?

I'd definitely take a look at it and see if you can get them down to the lower $60k range.

The side moldings are replaceable. Not sure why they would replace everything else and not those.

Rear seats don't look strained. Just really dirty probably from all the repair work they did to he car.

Roof, that's replaceable. I'd pick this up

That would be an ideal solution to the roof. If you put this on and changed the moldings, that car would look like nothing ever happened.

I saw it years ago before the repairs were made. It was in Pennsylvania at the time.
