Where do you start?

Thanks for posting, very interesting stuff! After having read text only descriptions of some of the systems, having the diagrams for reference makes it much more understandable. The engine manual and the sophistication of its construction helps me understand why it will take a while for an aftermarket supplier to come up with a good, functional electronically engineered HP increase! Who can do that sort of thing, an ex-factory programmer.....? So complicated to me. I will be very conservative before I jump into buying engine tuning changes. The warning message on page 75 concerning the replacement of the DME control units has to be concerning for someone attempting to alter them for tuning purposes.

All of the manuals and much more information, including service bulletins and training info etc
can be obtained via BMWTIS (daily/monthly/annual subscription) .

The website is http://www.bmwtis.com/

Just use caution in redistributing material ....

Yeah, I got a lot of the info for my blog at BMW TIS. I've read it all, tried to assimilate it, and present it in a fun way, a bit of history, a bit of "car porn", a bit of basic physics to fill in gaps. Have a read (link in my signature).

Bmw m5

I recently left my 2012 m5 into BMW to get my dab radio fixed!

They upgraded the dab radio with a new programme, which now has stopped my m car going over 4000 revs in neutral. BMW say it is an upgrade can anyone give me advice on this as I bought the car with the knowledge of it being able to rev over 4500 rev of which it did until this upgrade.

Actually there are two engines named S63B44O0 and S63B44T0.
The first one is also called S63 is the one is used in X5 M /X6 M.
The second one is also called S63TU is the one is used in M5/M6.
