I just got my M5 on Sunday night and realized after I farted in the car, it still smells like leather!

Ahhhhh! That's why it stopped working!

Thanks

I will use this little badge (actually the M-emblem on the wheel) to cover the mirror sensor.

1. For those with the Speed Limit display on the HUD. If you're on the autobahn with no speed limit, you get a ghostbuster sign.

2. Press the button to close the side mirrors. The next time you drive, the mirrors will automatically open.

Press and hold the odometer reset button and at the same time turn the ignition on by presing the start stop button. Release the odometer reset button, and you should see a menu of 4 items on the dashboard. From here, use the odometer reset button to advance to the next entry using a short press, and to select the desired entry using a long press.

Move to the one labelled UNLOCK. You will be presented with a passkey screen. The passkey is the sum of the last 5 digits of your VIN. Increment the code by pressing the odometer button until you reach the calculated passkey. Then a long press of the odometer button to select it.

Enjoy!
Has anyone tried any of the items in this menu? I got in and saw a number of things but didn't try anything out. Just wondering what they all do or change. Thanks.

Did you know that on the M seats, the sides of the headrest cushion can be folded inwards. It is very nice for your passenger when he/she is tired and wants to sleep a bit.

Did you know there is a small latch behind the rear centre armrest. If your passenger forget to put something small in the trunk, like a hand bag or a coat, it can be pushed through the opening, so you don't have to pull over and exit the car. It can also be used to take something out off the trunk (when placed behind the opening).

In some markets, that's also the ski bag.

Did you know that if your car has the comfort access option you can open the trunk by moving your foot under the backside of the car (difusor). Very handy if your hands are full.

Can you confirm this? Do you need to be in any special setting ie sport plus? I can't seem to get it to work.
Hold the downshift paddle and push the pedal all the way down...past the faux stopping point.

Also works in auto mode (no paddle necessary).
Yup. Works great in auto mode!

Move wipers for wash

B-1- thanks for the tip! Tried this today, and it worked great. Only one difference - after cycling the power, I moved the wiper stalk up to its highest point and the wipers went to and stopped directly at the vertical position without sweeping. Worked like a charm.

Switch on ignition without starting the car. Then switch it off. This should leave the car with power available to some functions, including the wipers.

Lift & hold wiper lever past all click points till it won't move up any further. Hold in place till the wipers sweep across the windscreen. They should sweep twice. Once the wipers sweep across, they should stop in the vertical position, so you can fold them back off the windscreen, for cleaning/detailing.

To return to down position, turn power on and click stalk down.

That is actually useful for me as I drive naked often.

Better place to store it than where I have been putting it. Ouch!

Thanks!
Loved it.
