Thoughts on this 13 with low miles

So just last night the wife told me i could get rid of the diesel X5 and get anything i wanted, so long as it had 4 doors and was reasonably priced. Had to pick it up from the dealer today after some maintenance and found this white m5.

http://www.bmwofdallas.com/used/BMW/...1d9a6ee775.htm

Low miles and decent (not awesome) price but no warranty. Of course the dealer will help find me a warranty but that's another 4-7k i'm sure.

I love the interior and wanted either white or MCB anyway. Took the car for 2 hours and loved it. Should i see if they will come off more to help cover the warranty? With 2014's coming off lease now this car will only drop....

As much as I love the color combo is lacking b some great optional features and priced a bit high for me. The 13s are fetching low 40s right now at auction.

Immediately when you drive this off the lot you will be down $10k if not more. Plus you still have to pick up warranty.

If I were you, broaden your search and go for a loaded 2014 CPO and negotiate the hell out of it. I guarantee you'll pay very close to what you would pay for this + extended warranty.

If you do move forward with this, please push to get bmw extended warranty vs third party and get this down to $48-50k range or pay asking and have them throw in platinum BMW coverage and maintenance.

I checked CarGurus and did CPO 2013 to 2014 and found quiet a few CPO under 50 with under 30k miles. Worth lookin and using that as ammo to negotiate.

Check BMW PALMSPRINGS. They have 14 MCB with silverstone interior. Its listed for 66k. I offered them 60k and they were at 64k. I am sure you could easily get it for 61-62.5k. Not a bad price imo. Its also certified.
Take care

They won't be able to sell you anything but a lowly BMW OEM powertrain extended warranty on the original stripper you posted about. It's out of warranty, they can't sell a platinum nor a gold BMW OEM when car is out of warranty. The one they have listed at same dealer for same price 2014, has 48K miles and is loaded...full leather, exec, competition, B&O, Led headlights, driver asst. Says three owners, but looks like 2 maybe even 1. Looks like the owner moved due to business or relocation for first two, possibly third as well.
This one could get platinum warranty 7/100 for $6900 retail. Tell them $56K with platinum warranty included.

Thanks everyone! I don't mind the limited options since it's less things to worry about breaking. I told them to bring me an offer that included a warranty and we'd talk.

Personally at that price point I would avoid a 2013...I had plenty of bugs with my 2013 which is why I did not buy it out of lease...made buzzing noise behind instrument panel which may have been a turbo leak--passenger seat creaked...rear suspension was upgraded for clunking----turbo coolant lines leaked and were updated...constant brake issues---if u get that car for 44k maybe but I would look for a 2014 or2015 comp package for same price around the country. get the comp package...

My 13' was also a bit of a mess with many issues; nothing major but always seemed to be at the shop. Current 15' M5 has had zero issues.

I bought my loaded 13 there and it was CPO. Paid $55k a few months ago it had 28k miles and was/is in great condition. Found a nail in my tire before driving back home, they didn't repair it but rather put a brand new tire on the car. I would be happy to get you with my sales guy. they were fantastic to work with.

2013's are solid from what I hear. Of course there will be a few anomalies but overall it's solid.

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up getting a great deal on a new CTSV lease. The car tops the M5 in every category except for the trans. DCT is much better than the 8 speed auto in the V.

@MCarsFan sold his M5 and picked up a beautiful CTSV. He's dropping it off next week to bump it up to 850HP

Congrats

Completely agree. I traded my 2014 M5 for a lease on a 2017 V. Amazing, sans the transmission. DCT is light years ahead.
