2013 Front Grille Compatibility
Looking to trade out the stock 2013 grille with the silver border for a newer style.
This is the style I am referring to http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-2016-BM...-/360909653407 2 Questions Is this bent style grille compatible with the oem 2013 housing as an easy swap and go? Is it worth spending almost $500 for an oem piece? If not, alternatives are appreciated!! Cheers. |

2014+ lci grille is compatible with 2013 model, its a very easy swap (pop old grille out, pop new ones in).
Also, you can find the oem grille in the classified section or ebay. Used LCI grilles range from 150-250. Some aftermarket grilles will not have the (m5) logo on them. goodluck

they are one and the same in terms of dimension so they will fit. i bought the ebay ones a few years back and theyve been great. you can get the LCI grill from vendors here for less than OEM prices.

You can look on ebay for replicas, and yes they do have the M5 logo on some.
I actually bought some LCI all gloss black replicas from ebay a while back for my old 2013, never installed them, got a 2014, they are sitting in my garage. Paid like 75$ I didnt get to try the fitment on so cant guarantee that. I can sell them if you want. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-F10-F11-...VZAYB7&vxp=mtr ^These are similar to what I have^

I ended up buying pre-LCI grills, and then I transfered over the NV module completely. It still took me quite a while to figure out how all the screws interacted, and to manage the wiring harness and fluid hose thingy. There's a few howto's on this board about it. I think going LCI wouldn't be much harder if you had a dremel and were willing to do some plastic/bracket construction to make it fit. But the NV module shape did change between '13 and '14. |
