Where do you keep your firearm?

I just picked up a '14 M235i. I currently keep my firearm in the driver's door. It sits up pretty high and is more in view than other vehicles where I've stored it in the same location. Where do you guys store yours?

I just make finger guns and then the sounds. Works every time.

Another alternative is that even though I live in the US, being an immigrant I don't feel the need to have guns in my life. Ever. Even if I could.

I opened up this thread thinking this was going similar to the knee pad thread or the key pouch thread. :-)

Guns in cars is very dangerous. The weapons being carried around today in vehicles make hand guns obsolete. Revolver vs UZI. Any bets on who wins.

Please take your political views elsewhere. I'm sure there's a thread for it somewhere else and I'd be happy to discuss there.

My friend asked me, when I spoke of getting a CCW permit, "Can you think of a day in your life that would have been made better by having a gun?"

I was unable to think of one.

That said, it has always seemed to me that one might want it mounted on the headliner.

pretty sure you can fit a ar/ak or any long rifle under rear seat bottom and just snap it back into place.

BTW, isn't having a firearm in the car a wee bit risky these days if you're being pulled over for even a minor traffic violation and the officer asks for license, registration and then the inevitable question "Do you have any weapons in the vehicle?"..
I could see some potential nasty outcomes from that scenario - or is that only an issue in minority communities?

I keep my Taurus 738 TCP in my front pocket.

Sadly, I think this is more likely the case now-a-days.

Not a problem at all. Hand the officer license, insurance card and carry permit. Zero worries. They are actually happy to see armed citizens for the most part. Get a permit and training
