Bent Rims =(

SO here it goes......

I have two bent 601's.

I have to say.... many forum members called it.... they are cast and are more prone to such damage. I really don't like the the look of 343's so i am thinking about a set of Dinan rims or just stock 601s again.

I have no clue how it happened, but i found out when i took the car to the tire shop to swap out my spacers. I can't remember any road hazards or pot holes.

I would highly encourage others to stay away from the 601's or make sure that you have the tire/rim insurance (as i do). Its still a pain in the butt and time consumer getting the new rims.

Those dinans that Mac has are really nice. But if I'm correct I think the rear needed spacers. Am I right Mac?

Yes, I added 12mm on the rears; fronts are fine.

How badly bent are they? I just discovered last week that all 4 of my wheels are very slightly bent but not bad enough to cause any kind of oscillations or air leaks. So I am not going to worry about it. It's because of these damned East Coast roads. I have the original 343M's still on my car. I honestly thought they would be worse than they are now having over 45,000 miles on them. I'd definitely go for the Dinans if possible. Lightweight and 1 piece Monoblock.

Aftermarket wheels with spacers? With so many quality custom made forged rims available?

Lol +1

If I'm gonna pay over $4K for a set of rims, they better not need spacers to make them fit!

They don't NEED spacers. I just wanted the wheel more flush with the fender well.
