Gasoline Cap won't shut

So basically i was washing my car,
when i found out that my gasoline cap doesn't feel like it is fully closed,

the click was able to work properly, but when it is shut, it is like something doesn't attach it like it usually does..
any idea?

thanks

Make sure you didn't accidentally lock the car when passing over the handles washing it. Happens to me all the time. If the gas cap is open and the car gets locked, the cap will not close completely.

Yes of course, the problem is
(Condition vehicle unlock)
pushing the cap close with click also in closed position,
the cap just won't seem to stay close, leaves a gap and letting us open it easily.

I haven't looked at my gas cap, but check the gasket, as there should be one.

Take a photo and upload if your unsure.

Should be something simple..
