I would guess if it happened immediately after at the wheel swap that the control module was damaged or disconnected during the swap.

Thanks for your reply
You could be right but I didn't touch any thing but the block intended for lifting the car.

EDC delete modules sometimes from KW will throw an error, especially when the resisters are hot. Code EDC off and unplug the EDC module = no error. Throw away the EDC delete module, it's resisters based and waste of money.

Hi there - how do you do this?

According to a post by lemetier: F10M chassis' don't have a passive suspension option so satellite EDC modules were removed which eliminates an isolation point to code them off. The input sensors are hardwired to ICM and transmitted to VDM Master.

I have a vender that sold me a remote coding session and said it was coded off. It isn't. Now they are making calls to folks to figure out if it can be done. They said they suspect it cannot be done to an M car, because they all came with EDC vs. the standard f10s which have the option of not having them.

Just trying to figure out if I need to buy the modules.

Thanks in advance.

Did you physically unplugged the EDC modules after coding? If not, you have to.

Have you done this yourself on your F10 M5? If so, it's the first I've heard of.

I haven't coded the F10M5 EDC off before, it's an older chassis and coding isn't like the F30/F80 etc. After reading countless threads, my understand is now it cannot be done on the F10M5. You'll need to contact KW vendor to buy the EDC delete module.

View post #25 to locate the EDC module. I would imagine the location is the same for the F10.
