328i loaner
Have a 328i m-sport loaner from the stealer while they do routine service on my beast.
Gotta say, loving the size, and this motor pulls surprisingly strong. Apparently it's a 2.0L i-4 -- and it is remarkable. Very impressive.

Agree, that car is impressive for a 2.0L engine

Definitely fun cars. Couldn't resist the 335i for the wife though. I actually enjoy the little 328i loaners.

Now you see
Now you see why I enjoyed my M135i so much. Tuned 335i motor, lighter weight, M optimized suspension and the 8speed ZF8 HP gearbox...a dynamite package that feels almost as fast as an M3 and actually faster from 1200-3000 rpm.
It was the reason I didn't buy an M3 as it didn't feel any more dynamic and the auto kick-down behaviour of the 8 speed was far superior to the DCT (in exactly the same way the DCT is superior in manual sequential mode). The longer I own the M5 the more respect I have for its numerous attributes....the M135i however was more fun to drive on my roads. Next car I'll be going for is very likely the M2 |
