Wink How unique is F10 M5 where you live?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So far I am happy because I haven't seen a lot of them especially in my color Sakhir Orange...

How many over the last year?
Probably less than I could count on my 2 hands... Surely not one hand...
And I was very good picking it up because of the tips and I had 550i back then

P.S Live in Charlotte NC...
Was in Miami a couple of weeks ago
Well I saw at least 20 Panamera mostly S and less Turbos but over less than 24 hours and 4 days in Orlando not a single M5 F10?!!!!

How freaking rare is it ?

I would say it's more like Lambo and Ferrari rare in most of the United States. Depending on where you live though, either no-one gives a crap, or people look at you like you are driving an Aventador.

In the DC area, I've pretty much surmised that no-one cares or even knows what any ///M car is. Everyone in DC is just trying to get to their government job or go home from their government job. It's almost an anti-car enthusiast environment here. When I was down in North Carolina over Christmas I stopped at a random gas station to get gas and I had 3 people come up to me and ask me about the car. All southerners with southern accents. IF YA AIN'T WINNIN, YOU'RE LOSIN'! NA'CAR! Then when I went up to New York City with my M5 for New Years Eve, I had people taking pictures of me on the highway, New York City police officers would turn their head in genuine interest but not contempt, and I even raced a random E60 M5 with a beautiful aftermarket exhaust on his car on the Cross Bronx Expressway. Mostly people are attracted/mesmerized/disgusted by my loud exhaust though. Lol! Depending on your color, you will get more attention as well. With mine being a triple black even an enthusiast won't know it's an M5 until they get up close, but a Sakhir Orange you can spot from a mile away. Sometimes I wish I had a louder color, I'll admit it's nice to feel special sometimes.

Cool

BTW E63 AMG 2012 and newer r really scarce here!
I abhor the looks
Had E550 coupe Launch 2010 model and lived the looks a lot more!!

2014 E550 lost the shifter..
R u serious in a sports car?
It is not an option for many people this way!!

Would you drive a car with no console shifter?
Just a steering wheel thing?
OMG!!

I see WAY more AMG C63/E63 than M5. I also see tons of S4/S5.

M5 I see maybe once a month, if that.

I feel like the M5 blends in really well and just looks like a 5 series.

Thats why I like it

Subtle.

i live in Manhattan and left the office late - 11:30, naturally I took a cab home and as we went up Park Ave., parked on the corner of 58th street were 2 - 2013's - AW and MCB. risk leaving them on the street - IMO.

i've ordered the tripple black as well - desecration is key when going fast

So far I am the only one to say that it isn't exotic. Scottsdale has a pretty diverse and active car scene and the exotics flock here almost all year round. In the winter it is a car lover's paradise because of the weather.

The most recent Cars & Coffee had about 300-400 cars and the majority of them were exotics (Ferrari's, Lambos, MacLarens, Aston Martins, Carrera GT, etc).

Not so say that the M5 isn't a fantastic car, I love it, but in my opinion it isn't an exotic.

I believe I agree and I am not unhappy about that...
Because you can have an exotic car yet won't make you giggle every time you drive it like M5 but it is not Aventador or California -
But never wished to be in any of these
May be because they are put of my league
Hahahahah

CEO of BMW Hellas drives the other...No, I am not the CEO of Mercedes AMG...
So, Me my self and I paid the dream...In contrast, maybe more than 80 E60 M5's available to race...

Panamera GTS and Turbo combined are def more common than M5 in Miami.

M5s are not that common.

I think the way most people think is that they want the most expensive looking car for their money. The M5 at $100k plus does't fit that goal. It's an enthusiast car.

Yup, totally agree. Plus, the M5 really doesn't look that drastically different than a 535/550 with the M Sports Package.

Every other car is a bimmer in MD/DC/VA. Only the real enthusiasts can tell an M from a standard BMW as you have stated.

It was nice when during the 1st week of ownership, some kids at Starbucks right next to me were saying to each other, "dude did you see that M5, so sick!!!"
