What do you guys think of Frozen Gray?

Also do you think it would look better with Platinum or Silverstone?

Its a great color; what about Silk Gray on the inside?

I recall someone in Portugal posted pics of one....

Looks great NEW, there after in rain and poor weather it's going to the pits.

Keeping it looking pristine will be very difficult IMO.

Sorry, I completely disagree! Frozen colors are very easy to take care of.

Why do you think that? The guys on here who own frozen colors say they are easier to maintain because they don't look dirty when covered in dust. Wash less frequently, no need to wax or polish.

Bear in mind I live in Miami so lots of rain, but no snow or hail.

BTW, just curious, do you switch your cars out every year? I feel bad switching my 13 out so quickly, but nice to see others doing it as well, makes me feel less guilty. This one I gotta keep a while though

Sick. Love space grey, and the frozen version is even better. On my short list IF I trade in my '13.

The grey looks good...I always thought the frozen colors were a pain in the ass, even with a favorable climate. I know one thing, if you get a scratch there is no buffing, repainting the panel. In some ways if I was to ever go with a Matte look it would be better to wrap it. More choices, it can be removed, and if you get a scratch, you're just re-wrapping that panel.

Agreed but the wraps just don't look as good as factory. They are close but don't sparkle the way it comes from BMW. We compared a frozen black factory and wrap job of $3000.00 that was nice but not factory nice.

I would recommend a clear bra for the concerns above, I did the full kit.

When you say "full" do you meant the entire car? I saw a frozen black with a full front end bra and ti looked no so good as it throws off the finish of the rest of the car.

I assume you mean the full front end, plus maybe rockers and rear bumper.

Please can you tell me how it looks? Can you tell there is a clearbra on those panels vs not on the rest? Do you have any high res pics?

paint protection is my main hesitation in going with frozen gray vs sticking with MCB.

Yes, all the areas you mentioned is what I meant, I'll take some pictures of the areas where it looks the worst tomorrow. I think Miami probably would have a better installer though....it really depends on who does it I think. The guy with a frozen white in California (runningthingz?) installer sold the material and I think he had a lot more experience than my installer.

Hey, that's my car up there Of all the frozen gray M5s i have seen, SO seems to be the best so far. It has a nice contrast to it. BTW, my side grills are now frozen as well.

To each, his own!

I think the color looks great and with a Silverstone interior it would be spectacular. I would prefer that to the Sakhir interior in the pics.

Thanks for joining the discussion. Your car looks amazing. i like your frozen side vents too.

Can you answer a few questions for me?
- do you have a clearbra? If so how does it look?
- any issues with scratches?
- how often do you wash it?
- would you choose this finish again?

I think same way. I would go for Silverstone or possible platinum.

With a silverstone interior it would look very similar to this frozen gray silk gray beast.

Frozen white Stealth. If I were to order a LCI (which I won't), it would be frozen white.

Also, XPEL matte works perfectly on frozen paint. Just ask Marko (runninthingz)

I just don't like white. White cars just seem unfinished to me. Like F1 cars without livery.

Is it really perfect runninthingz ? As in you can't tell any difference in appearance of a clear bra and naked panel?
