Took Delivery on an F10 M5 Competition CCB

Just took delivery on an F10 M5 Competition, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Executive Package, Lighting Package in Monte Carlo Blue Metallic with black leather.

Traded in my E92 M3 Coupe in Red on black interior. Gonna miss that car but this car is incredible. The torque even at 1500 rpm is so nice!

Any suggestions from current owners on things to be aware of from a maintenance standpoint or suggested upgrades? I'd really like to at least replace the stock steering wheel with a M Performance wheel and some carbon trim/spoiler. The exhaust could sound a lot nicer, even with the performance exhaust installed.

I love that M Sport wheel but didn't get it because I'd miss the heated wheel function.

Congrats, speed safely!

Decatted downpipes will fix the sound issue. You'll need something to fix the check engine light due to the missing cats and a flash tune can do just that. You'll also get tons of power, cold start delete, vmax restriction delete, burble on deceleration (if you're into that) etc.

You could check out the OEM M Performance CF trunk spoiler - it's a tad bigger than your current one. You could also check out the M Performance CF diffuser, I think it's very subtle and yet gives a more aggressive look without looking obnoxious/ricer type. CF front lip to complete the look (if you're into that).

Slap in some nice looking 21" wheels and some lowering springs and you're done

Thanks for the reply!

Will the car still pass emissions with the decatted downpipes installed? I'm assuming i should work with a local shop on the flash tune. Does anyone know of a good place in the Seattle WA area?

What is "tons of power"? I keep hearing BMW underrates at 575 on the comp package and is more like 620 hp? What can be expected post flash tune?

I like the idea of the CF trunk spoiler and diffuser. Will probably leave the wheels alone for now.

What a coincidence! Did you see the Singapore Gray M5 at the dealership in Seattle? I purchased it last week and should be picked up tomorrow or Saturday. Small world. Wow. I seriously considered buying the one you did. Excellent choice. She’s gorgeous.

You noticed that too? Yes it's a bit slippery and not sure that there is anything i can do about it at this point. Thought about even swapping the wheel out for an M Performance wheel cause alcantera with the top stripe is nice.

The car will probably fail the emissions test without the cats, but given how many people there are out there with catless downpipes, I'm sure there's a way around that

600+ whp should be a realistic number, depending on the tune you get. If you don't plan on upgrading clutches, you'll want your tune to be a little conservative on the torque.

I had that on my watch list for a long time before I found a good lease transfer on an M3 local. What was your final out the door price if you don't mind? It was sitting so long I am sure you got a good deal.

Got it for about 50k and put 31k down. It's got 37.5k miles on it now.

Been a great car so far! Been doing a bunch of work on it and it'll looking and driving wonderful! Alignment, cleaned up interior and exterior, steering wheel looks brand new now, got it coded! Got a new Uniden R3 hard wired. Did a leather conditioner on the seats and the woolite treatment on the wheel to remove all that oil they put on it at the dealer.

I'm considering downpipes + tune and maybe a M Performance wheel. Going for oil change and new spark plugs on friday. Might swap the tires with some new Michelin Sport 4S's.

My only complaint so far is the sound of the exhaust. Steering feels more "numb" than on my E92 M3.
