New M5 Owner

Hi folks,

New M5 owner (as of this morning). I've been researching this board for quite some many years. Thanks for all of the insights and tips. I can't wait to get through the 1,200 miles break-in period.

I'll post pics later today/tomorrow- but here's what I got.

2015 Monte Carlo Blue
Silverstone Interior
Comp Package
Exec Package
B&O Sound
Carbon Fiber Side Mirrors
M-Sport Steering Wheel (which I love)

alright...so I am back after having this machine for 3 days....my oh my. I'm so pleased and I haven't even opened it up yet. My other (family) vehicles are a 2013 GL 550, which moves quite fine for the size, then a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.1L, which also moves fine for it's size.

This thing has no comparison to anything that I've driven and as mentioned I'm only at 350 miles.

The MCB color combo with silverstone interior is stunning....

Observations:
- MCB draws attention- didn't want that. I've got people in 3 days racing up behind me and I'm doing 75mph.
- I've got 5 kids- the MCB shows fingerprints in the garage like you wouldn't imagine. Thankfully my dealer wrapped a good portion of the car
- brake dust: how do I handle this? Haven't driven hard yet, I've heard to drive harder on the brakes to get them worn in in the early miles...true?

I'm already looking to mod it, starting with the exhaust..I live in/near Boston, anybody got any ideas and recommendations on where to go?

...ps...searching for these, either I'm not good at finding them or they don't exist...

thanks!

Yup. MCB attracts a lot of attention. But I love the color. Wheels are a pain to keep clean. I use "Wheel Wax" brand wheel wax. It makes them much easier to clean, but you still need a good wheel brush and gentle wheel cleaner.
