As for your intake it doesn't need long to adapt because it's more about efficiency then actually getting more air volume and velocity by mph increase like the MSR intake. So you can argue all day what you think and what you know but at the end of the day the MSR intake has been proven by myself with all the before and after testing and also by several customers across the globe.

Find two stock M5's Dyno and race them Stock, then Dyno race them after install and race them again, after two weeks of adaptation race them agian, I guarantee the MSR car will pull away.

Like I said you can throw all the data you want and it will look great on paper but when it comes to real life results on the street I can say it's been Proven over and over agian.

Carbon fiber does look great though, most of my customers want custom color choices. But if you guys want the best of both worlds, carbon and performance I'll make you a set in carbon fiber.

Once again great post!
MSR in carbon fiber? How much it will cost?

Far from sounding rice man. MSR Intake sounds very similar to a blow-off. If a Blow-Off is rice, then don't buy a turbo car.

Nothing ricey about MSR. It's a well engineered awesome product. How are you affiliated to these RK intakes? Are you a shop that installs RK intakes or is pushing RK Products? It sure appears that way.

I asked about the "engineering" on this product and was told to watch a video of a street.

Yes, great videos and fantastic results, including for me and a number of forum members who I know well - You have produced fantastic numbers on paper, very impressive diagrams and great information - and that's impressive but where it ultimately counts is the street. At least that's where it counts for most of us when we buy a performance product.

Your product looks very nice, especially the carbon fiber.

If I was, I'd be selling MSR because sounds like people are buying them for sound only

Does controlled testing not mean anything to anyone anymore, or has the M5 community turned into the fast and furious?

On a side note, myself and another member have offered to PURCHASE a set of MSR intakes for testing, why is the owner not responding to either of us? No satisfaction guarantee anymore?

Sorry, but while browsing for information on MSR *stuff* I couldn't find one website (Facebook doesn't count). All I've ever seen were hype posts and YouTube links stating satisfaction but no real substance about the actual product.

If you're asking for $3K for a product that you were in the market of selling for a significant amount of time, you'll need a professional website. State all your claims there and direct traffic to the work you've done. Except that doesn't exist for anything MSR. With that price tag I expect much more than a hobbyist level effort. Not that I would drop that amount of cash anyway on an intake.

He doesn't need a website because results speak for themselves. Yes a website would be nice but the guy is into cars, not websites IMO.

TBH - It will always be about the end results in the real world especially when parts for our cars come with such a high M Tax. MSR went through the same experience you are going through and no matter how many dyno tests or controlled tests he had, it was never enough until customers bought into it and verified the results were true. I am sure once customers start showing up on the forums with their reviews about your product and their overall experience, it will help greatly. As of right now, all we have seen is this review from Powerhaus which happens to be the same shop address listed for RK. I am sure you guys are independent but you get where I am coming from.

Didn't you already have a set for testing to come up with your design and results?

Everyone runs their business differently ... I know several well known and recognized owners who don't have websites yet have been extremely successful with their businesses. Two of them are well known in the auto industry. They let their products speak for itself.

The word on the street is that Msixcarbon is the owner of powerhouse since he just bought a white M6. Furthermore, he claims he has no affiliation to RK but look at these, they have the same address.

Love the results of your car man, one of these days I'll spend the $$$ on the SSP clutch, axles and Stage 2 turbos. Super impressed bro.

Regarding this thread, I guess the point for me is that RK compares their product to MSR but then really the design seems very similar and the bashing has been crazy.

I'm sure RK is a great product but I'm just saying.
