No but that serves the same purpose. I think I have seen one where that same orange McClaren races a white 991TTS on that same service road. Looks like a local drag strip/street racing spot.

Here we go, got out to the better road early
It was only 80 F and so the ET is better as is the trap speed.
1.6s 60ft for 10.9 125.1 mph. 60-130 was 8.89 Definitely better on a better road. Probably shave .2s of ET and add 2-3mph when it's cooler in October. |

Adding the standing half mile as well. The place where I ran this is just about a mile long and has a big jump up at one end so I can easily get a 1/2 mile test but not the one mile in one direction. I didn't try the one mile test in the other direction because I picked up the nail after the second run I think.
The other thing about the Porsche is that the speedo is much closer to actual than the M5. When I put the brakes on I was doing 168 and the Vmax on my vbox data says 167.8. The Porsche definitely doesn't feel as fast above 125 as the M5. When I hit 120 with my modded M5, the car seems to really start pulling harder and I think that could be the CAI. Of course the TTS has the scoops built in, you can see them on the side of the car. Last edited by wrsbmw; 09-04-2014 at 09:26 AM.. |

Yes but Dinan is there too as well and of course it's V8 vs flat 6. I am in the process of getting a quote on the GIAC tune. Looks like it's a three day deal. They have to mod the PDK computer too and that has to be taken out and shipped to GIAC.

I saw a 7.9 out of my car at the Pocono roll race event but never bothered looking further back and gave the vbox back to its owner. I know it can do low 7s on race fuel and 5 psi over. Just need conditions to be perfect.
Looks like I need to run into a 991 turbo and break hearts.

Did you happen to notice what the Aventador was trapping in the 1/2 mile? It was trapping 254.23km/h which translates to just about 158 mph.
Also did you happen to notice the Aventador's 60' time? It was 1.902s. That is what you call a "very soft launch" for an AWD drive vehicle with that kind of power. You have a fast car...but you are coming off as being somewhat of a "bragger". One video of an Aventador being soft launched and still putting a nearly 6 mph higher trap speed down (closer to 7mph if they are using time lights to calc trap speeds rather than GPS) is not going to convince many people that your car is "faster". |

When I get done with the mods I am planning for my car, it will take the Aventador on the top end too. The Porsche doesn't need 700hp to post a higher trap speed, probably 625 will do the job and I am pretty sure I will have that much when I am done if not a bit more. |

http://media.caranddriver.com/files/...-road-test.pdf From 60-150mph: 11.0s (14.0 - 3.0) Right now it looks like you are 3 seconds off that pace. |
