AWD M5 yes!

Today we deleted speed limiter and i went for a test drive at night, car has Pirelli winter tires 295 rear 265 front. You can easliy feel that DSC is holding the car, I think M5 really need AWD option and i'm a person who hates AWD cars!!! by the way car has catless innotech exhaust no tune.

Uh what are you talking about dude? I'm also running 295mm winter tires on my rear wheels at the moment. I have the Michelin Alpin PA4's 20" winter tires on. They are crap for traction when compared to the Pilot Super Sports on dry roads. The softer compound in the winter tires is what is making traction so bad on dry roads. If I was running narrower winter tires the traction would be even worse on dry roads. The traction problem is only magnified when you are running performance modifications that increase torque as well. I personally can't wait for winter to be over so I can put the Super Sports back on. Also, if you really want to eliminate traction issues as much as possible, find yourself a set of Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires. Don't drive in the rain with the Cup 2's though.

My advice for the day.

Thanks-
Have been looking into wider tires on the back, have the stock Pirellis on my car at the moment. Are the Michelin Pilot Super Sports very dangerous in the wet? Also will they fit on the 343 20" rims?
Would 275s not result in rubbing on the front possibly?

There are two types of 343M rims. M5 and M6. 305 will fit in M6 343M; however there are members who installed the 305 on M5 343M ...with this tire you can feel the noticeable traction and grip improvement even in MDM mode

I know we've gone round and round on this, I'm still confused and haven't gotten an answer. So, the 5/2014 pricing guide shows the black 343Ms as 1/2 inch wider, (20x9.5 and 20x10.5) ike the M6 wheels. You think this is a typo?
