Frozen Grey or Silver

Ok lease is up on M3 soon gonna order a M5 (looked at rs7 but cant get away from Ms) Im gonna order a Frozen color grey or silver. What you guys think?
It seems to me like the grey seems like it reflects just enough light. Seen a few frozen grey Mercedes around here but not any silver cars. Idk just hard to know

Frozen Gray FTW. Here's a link to stealth.pilot's ED of his Frozen Gray 2014 LCI. He has me thinking about ordering frozen gray next month after seeing his amazing car and pics now!

Frozen Grey.

Having seen both in person, I would describe them as follows: frozen grey looks like steel - it is a more industrial metal finish. Frozen silver looks exactly like the my MacBook Air (I.e satin Aluminum)

I would definitely choose frozen grey over silver. However to each his own.

I had frozen grey on my E60 M5.
I have frozen black on my F10 M5.

I would recommend frozen grey. It is the easiest color to maintain and it looks clean even when it's dirty.

Frozen Grey and Frozen white look best in person, and frozen silver comes in a close third.

Before you pic consider what cosmetic mods you want to go for (leave the chrome, go gloss black, go matching frozen, etc). There are lots of fantastic examples on here.

According to stealth's description, Frozen silver is actually a great colour since I really love apple products

Yeah sitting here looking at Mac pro tower, Silver would be nice at night in low light I think and the gray would look best during the day. Ive seen frozen black Lambos and Maseratis around here and they look horrible (Idk if it a wrap or what) wish I could see what frozen silver looks like in person but I think If I cant that the apple comparison is brilliant

frozen grey is great colour, but a lot of ppl wrap their cars matt grey and matt black, so it is very common

for frozen silver bmw uses silverstone II as a base colour, so it is nowhere near macbook colour

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=fro...ed=0CAkQ_AUoAQ

but i know which colour u mean, for that one bmw uses titanium silver as a base and it would make sense if it would be called frozen silver, but there is different name for that, cant remember

maybe both of those 2 colours called frozen silver, which is weird, but they are different not because of the light, they are just completely different, as far as i can remember from what i have seen

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=fro...0&tx=137&ty=49

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=fro...0&tx=112&ty=52 - this one does look like macbook silver

I'm well aware BMW uses silver stone as the base, but I still think it looks like a MacBook. I've seen all these colors close. Did you see my thread about my trip to BMW M Studio and Individual?

The reason that Frozen silver looks more like aluminum and less like the light blue of silver stone is because the gloss clear coat is reflecting the sky on silverstone. When you take that reflection out, the blue level of the silver is much lower with the result that you have a finish very close to the MacBook. That's why they called it Frozen Silver and not Frozen Glacier or something like that.

Frozen gray and frozen black look nothing like those wraps. The wraps look look cheap.

Frozen colors are fairly rare and my car hasn't hit the streets yet.
