I'm looking to sell my 2016 981 Boxster Spyder. I have a new car coming and need to move this one quickly.

The car's condition is pristine. You will find the options list attached, along with some photos. Additional notes about the car:

- Paint protection film applied to full front (bumper, fenders, hood, and side mirrors)
- Porsche custom car cover included as well

Thanks Phil. It's definitely posted in the right places as well. I figured I'd post in the M forums as well for those that don't have brand blinders on.

Assuming this is just your run of the mill Boxster is akin to thinking an M5 is just a 5 series.

It's a 375 hp boxster with a bunch of Carrera bits. Great motor, great open top cruiser, great driver's car - but not a 100k car. You can't track it, and it looks like like a 50K car. Yeah I know what it is, and if people are really willing to pay that much for that car then more power to you.

It literally is a 100k car. Whether it's worth that to any given person, is personal opinion. However, given it's retail price, it's safe to say that it's worth that to more people than not. Isn't that the case for anything? Tons of folks would say an X5M is not worth 100k. Many would also say it doesn't belong in the M family. Yet again, safe to say more people than not do think it's worth 100k and belongs in the M family. Otherwise it wouldn't be priced where it is, or be made at all.

Finally - not sure why you think it can't be tracked. Plenty of folks do just that with it.

But I digress...to Phil's point, lesson learned about posting in the wrong place. I didn't realize I'd be met with such negativity here. Must have something to do with the 5er crowd, since this type of reaction wasn't had on the M3/4 forum.

Ok indeed. People do it and the videos are out there to prove it. Again, this isn't an ordinary Boxster. The roof is manual and lightweight by design. There's no insulation. Hell, the last gen Spyder couldn't even achieve it's top speed with the roof up. It's literally designed from the ground up to be roofless. The rag is provided as a glorified umbrella.

Most tracks and events wont allow a convertible at all. Some will if they have a roll bar. Either way, you are crazy to do it. biggest reason is not the roll over but getting tipped on side and another car striking you or your getting severed or shattered during a rollover.

Paced laps at porsche club events don't count. Its not that it isn't capable enough, its just not safe to do so unless you want to hack into your 100K boxster and add a roll cage. And even then it is still a really bad idea if you like your limbs attached to your body.

Interesting I found this post? This same car is now for sale at Jim Ellis for 107k ....if you mind did you sell to a private owner? There's only 15 Spyders for sale in the US, and I'm looking for my M4 convertible replacement.
