2013 TSBs

Hi all --

Is there a comprehensive, updated list of 2013 MY TSB's available anywhere? There are a couple of things I'm trying to investigate and want to see if they're common problems.

Specifically around: 1) steering, 2) abrupt braking, 3) rattling door lock pins.

Thanks
B

Rattle door pin lock sounds interesting. I keep hearing this odd rattle come from my right side. Can't pin point it since I'm always driving.

Similar issue?

What issue are you having with steering?

It's definitely the door lock pins. There is a TSB that replaces them with felt lined versions.

Steering is just 'odd' sometimes. It feels like it crab walks (technical term) at low speeds when turning. In Comfort and Sport modes. Might just be the difference in fully hydraulic steering, not sure. It's just not very 'point-and-go' sometimes.

100% sure if I take it to the dealer they'll say it's normal, which is why I want to verify TSBs.

Thanks
Brad

Ive spoken to a few M5 users and was told that the vibration/feedback received at low speeds mainly coming out of a spot is normal. Got the same answer my from my SA who has an M5 as well. I had the same concern.

I need to check out the door issue for sure. Glad to hear it may be a known issue.

If you do not know already, for early production 2013s there is an SIB for the rear clunk noise which instructs them to change out the rear shocks. On uneven roads I always hear a clunk. I have the SIB somewhere.

I looked everywhere for the door rattle in the BMW system and could not find it. Found rattles from Dash, steering wheel, pillar, glove box ... etc but not from the door.

Found a lot of good info on their system. Its a paid subscription

I think your rattling lock pin issue is actually an issue that is known. No SIB on it but the rattling issue I had was related to the locked PIN. I can take a picture of my paperwork for you if you would like

I had major rattles from my door pins. Drove me mad at certain RPMs. Dealer replaced with felt lined pins under warranty. Said it was known issue, but don't have TSB.
Also had them chase down some rattles in the A pillars and driver side glove box.

Clunk in rear over bumps is caused by short OEM springs on earlier 13's. TSB definitely for this one. Had it done and it was night and day. Steering vibration also went away. Highly recommend.

Had very faded paint on my front calipers, specifically the ///M. Service manager agreed to replace under warranty. Said it was known.

Noticing some speaker vibration in front door panels (especially when talking on Bluetooth phone called) and some creaky rubber on sunroof when shade is open. Those are up next. Not sure if known issues or not...

I just have my SIB done for the clunk. As for the other vibrations, there is an SIB for each except for the lock pin which they did say was a known issue.

Regarding the faded M, that is good to know. Mine is faded and was wondering about that.

Yeah, it bothered me enough to look it up. First shop wouldn't cover it. Talked to the SM at the sister location across town and he got it approved under warranty. Was happy, as those calipers aren't cheap.
