M5 at VIR
It's been quite a while since I've posted, and at the 3 year mark, I'm looking at its replacement, an M550i.
So for a swan song, I've done track days at VIR and NOLA Motorsports Park (O'fest). Here's a few laps chasing a fast friend in an M2 at VIR, Full track. He took off fast with a clear track, and I could never get close to him. I set a personal best at 2:21 and he was about 2 secs or more a lap faster! https://vimeo.com/241794690

Your saying you are going to replace the m5 w a m550. My friend has one. It's nice. But going from fast to slow which it's what it will be. I'm guessing you'll be craving for that power right after you line up w another M. But everyone has their reasons and I'm sure yours is a good one after 3 years of ownership.

I've always wanted to take the M5 to VIR.
Was this an open track day or a cca event? What was the Red flag for? Hopefully nothing serious.
