disagree... on dark colors the chrome accents are perfect...

Looks good either way to me...I still have the chrome accents on my car since my rims have a high polished finish on the lips.

35% looks perfect, I went with a 40% then 70% on the Windshield

Black trim on a black car basically anonymize a car. It makes the twin kidneys, that signature BMW trademark invisible.

Black trim on a black car is the equivalent of the Maoist Chinese gender neutral clothing. It makes everyone look the same.

if i had black m5, i would do exact same as Dave did
blacked out m5 looks stunning

I paid 300 - you can get it done cheaper - others quoted 200 but the shop I went to has reviews head and shoulders above the alternatives in the area.

Thanks for the compliments, all. The chrome doesn't bother me terribly - I may black it out at some point but I'm fine for now - esp as the black new style kidneys aren't generally available yet.
