Nissan and Porsche have an agreement that Porsche will allow it to appear their cars are as fast as the GTR. This allows Porsche owners to feel good about the purchase.

V7? I bet that motor shakes. Not just out of fear of the GTR, but also missing one cylinder either up of down.

For most bolt on GTRs with 93 they're pretty much faster than 90% of cars on the street, but then they bump into any of the m5's around here or a c7z with bolt ons they'll get laid out... Then it ends up on the internet like they're one of the faster GTRs around lol.

it really won't stock vs. stock vs. a CP and probably not even a non CP car.

Bolt ons the GTR even just a OTS cobb map it would change, but stock vs. stock...

The GTRs days of just pulling up to a car and dogging it stock have been over since 2013.

Driving situations... It really comes down to how reckless the driver is. The GTR clamps down harder taking turns at 120+ where the M5 hides its weight until you go just a tad bit too fast and that weight starts to bite.

If you had a 45mph turn and took it at 90-100 in the M5, but GTR owner was scared to go over 88, whose car is faster that day? Few situations you'd find yourself in not on a track where you'd be able to get a away from an equally risky M5 driver lol

Ok now your using hypothetical examples which may include exponential incomes. You can do crazy things in a gtr that you would not be able to do in an M5. Most are hesitant to remove the nannies on the M5 to eek that extra performance for fear of ending up in a tree. Quick maneuvering(slalom), ultimate grip(skidpad), acceleration from a start and coming out of the corners all go to the GTR, and these are the most likely scenarios one will encounter....

You just made my point for me. MOST people by and large will not push their cars on their county roads, to a limit where one car is out performing the other.

And on the rare exception you get someone wild enough to do it like me, or someone on this board. The abilities of both vehicles stock vs. stock on a given local road, are again not going to allow for either one to have a clear edge IN MOST SITUATIONS. mix in some long straight aways with a few turns and yes a clear winner will make itself known, but if your in a 35 mph zone with a couple 1000 feet before a big turn, neither car will show its superiority over the other.

You'd need track, or extreme mods along with drivers willing to push the cars to show this.

Bro, you are delusional, stock vs stock a gtr absolutely obliterates an M5/M6 from a light on the street at "any light of your choosing".... and modded m5s too cause they have poor or no traction unless they have drag rubber which makes them even more 1-dimensional.... even an awd x5m can beat an m5 from light to light/low speeds or coming out of a corner (a GTR obliterates it, ask me how i know) as it is more consistent and their rwd (read M5/M6) counterparts are not <end of story>

Where did I mention light to light lol of course a GTR will drag it from a dig. A tesla will take most cars from a dig too lol. I'm talking roll power, or most competitive situations you get on roads like taking turns or as I mentioned straight aways lol. In which case most of this board who drive their cars aggressively you would either lose or not get far away from if they had any kind of mods or CP.

But of course you buy a 2016 GTR probably only has bolt ons or 1000cc injectors and is an expert lol. Thats the new GTR community for you people who run 9s and 10s suddenly experts lol.

When you mod that GTR to trap 170s like I had mine set up for then I'll ask you how you know about GTRs lol.

I'm not a fan of the gtr (no offense meant), but my boy has one. He came from a new E64 M6 and he couldn't be happier. He said it'd the best car he's ever owned.

I loved mine longest I'd kept a car in 3+ years, its amazing how many options this aftermarket community affords someone to make the car their own, from multiple types of bodykits and show car, to Track car with great suspensions, to down right dig monsters when you slap big turbos on.

I'll be back in one as soon as we see the prices after the 2018s hopefully force Nissans hand to slash prices.

I hear you bro. Sometimes a car just grabs you and that's it. That's the way I feel and have felt about M6s for nearly a decade. I could have went a different route, Maserati, R8, gtr, whatever, but the M6 is my first choice and has been for a while. I feel like a young kid every time I see that ///M emblem, M6 emblem, and the beautiful ///M stitching. There is no other car that I want for a daily driver. I know there are better cars, but not for me.
