$$$ off MSRP
I am about ready to order M5. MSRP is a little over $118,000. What is a good price off the MSRP. If I can get $9000 off, is this acceptable or should I hold out for more. I read some other threads where people got between $5000 and $10k off. I thought I read $12k off, but not confirmed.
Thank you |

If you would like a very strong quote feel free to shoot David Aviles an email or you can PM me. There are amazing deals to be had on the M5 right now. Def make sure you shop around!
there are also a lot more factors to take in account other then how much off MSRP you can get.

Invoice roughly 7% less and then 3-5k less and in your case 118k so 7% about 8.2k so if you were able to get 12-13k below MSRP then CONGRATULATIONS you got a heck of a deal - Hope this answers your questions man !! |

if you are leasing watch for dealers who are bumping up Money Factor. I have seen a lot of that on here. Dealer will quote you a great price but then smash you on the MF.
current MF for Feb is .0013

MF aka Money Factor
MF in a nutshel is the percentage used by lenders to calculate the rental fee portion of your monthly payment. MF determines how much you'll pay in finance charges over the life of a lease. The higher the money factor, the higher your monthly payment and the more you'll pay in total finance charges. Therefore, when shopping for a lease, you'll want to look for the lowest money factor. Dealers mark up MF all the time, so when you think your getting a killer deal always double check MF. MF is determined monthly by BMW. But the dealer decides how much the customer pays.

I am not sure what the MF was in december (I can ask David this morning and find out) but yes a dealer can mark up the MF if they want. It allows them to make money off the buyer on the back end. a marked up MF can cause you to pay a lot more per month. Take that amount each month over the life of the lease and you can see where they can make up money from the discount on the price.

MF can change each month per BMW. Sometimes it goes up sometimes it goes down. I am not expert on how it all works (thats why we have David Aviles ) but each month when I have him give me the numbers they change. We always stick to the MF that is posted and won't mark it up.

In some states you can make up to 7 security deposits that are refundable at the conclusion of the lease. These are known as multiple security deposits or MSD. For each deposit which is your monthly payment rounded up to the nearest $50 your MF goes down by .0007. For example the current MF =.00130 if you make 7 MSD (7 x .0007 = .0049, .00130 -.0049 = .00081 MF) the MF is reduced to .00081. If you're payment is $625/month 7 x 650 = 4550 MSD, which is refundable or can be used for extra miles or excessive wear when coming off lease.
The MSD is not at risk as a pure down payment would be in event of an accident totaling your leased vehicle so it doesn't have a downside if you have some cash on hand earning .001% in the bank. |
