Both bearings have been replaced but the noise is still there.

I'm thinking what should I say to the dealer, they keep telling me it's the pads knocking around.

Lets see what happens

How old is your car?.

Brake judder is disk or wheel balance/ front suspension/steering linkage.
I would push for rejection of the car depending on age.
They have had more than two goes at it already and failed to fix it.

The car was registered 14th jan 2014

I doubt it's wheel balancing because the judder comes in only when I brake.

There's is no vibration at all at any other speed.

The peculiar part is that you only feel the judder when braking from high speed. Thanks john

My car (2013 M5 3/13 build date) was making these types of noises when turning the wheel sharply to the left and I was told that the bearings needed to be replaced on both frot wheels.

Someone on Pistonheads had this problem and they had the Brake Callipers stripped down and something done and all is well.
He will find out just what was done here;

I wonder if there was some problem with the calipers since the part number changed for them from March 2014 production

I am super pissed off but thought I'd get some opinions as I can't do anything till the morning now.
I've collected the car back this evening after a week of backwards and forwards debating whether it is brake discs or something else that is causing the vibration at speed when braking.

Finally on Friday the dealership agreed to change the discs and pads.

I collected the car today at 6pm. All seemed well untill I set off on my way home. Whilst cruising at around 50mph I started experiencing a constant rubbing vibration from the steering wheel. Also I had other drivers pointing at the car. I leant over to the side only to see sparks coming from my drivers side wheel.

I parked up on the hard shoulder and found that the brake caliper was scoring the wheel. It had cut into the rim and had made 3 deep grooves in the rim.

This is really serious, I don't know what this bad workmanship has now damaged but how would you guys approach this other smash the technicians head in.

Thanks john

I'm being told it's an unfortunate case of a stone getting caught. Bit of a coincidence but they have referred it to BMW who have just returned and said they will replace the wheel free of charge.
I can't see a stone causing that much damage.

Nope me neither , stone can get between the disk and back plate but no where else.
