2016 M5 Release date?

Why would BMW offer two different variants of the comp package for the M5/M6?? BMW just announced that the 2016 M6 comp pack is going to up the HP to 600 and include "firmer" suspension components. I fully expect this to be offered for the 2016 M5 comp pack. The only uncertainty here is price. But if you also passed on a 2015 to see what will be offered in the '16 like I did, then the price delta will be irrelevant.

Even if the 16 does have 600hp, the power difference is going to be unnoticeable if there is a speed limiter at 155

I'm not sure if BMW offers the new CP for M5 (although 30 Jahre is the same car as far as suspension and powertrain), but I have a feeling that BMW is trying to attack sport cars market (AMG GTS, R8, 911) by announcing 2016 M6 CP (600 ps)... and this is a great news because then there is a big hope that the next generation of M6 will be a real sport car with transaxle configuration like what they are currently implementing on M6 GT3...

Because one is for the M5 and the other for M6? Two different cars. What am I missing here?

I wont post any pricing guides that is a big no no per BMW got in trouble for that a few years back but I can see if there was any price increases or new options available. Heading out to golf in a few but I do have a text into David

Dissappointing for sure, but lets hope the lack of changes between model years also reflects in the price and leasing numbers.

Update: Upon first glance, I noticed that the Drivers Assistance and Executive packages are $200 and $400 cheaper than last year, respectively. Don't know how this affects the total price of the car, or if BMW is going to get it back in the lease numbers.

Yes contact your dealer. Its in the pricing guide.

In addition to the Exec and Driver's Assist being cheaper, USB is now standard as well. That offsets the overall price increase.
