Yes it is loud. Been driving it like this for over 2 years now with the full straightpipes setup, but what helps tremendously is the Cold Start Delete from a tune. Also was able to get away with never being pulled over in the Commonwealth of Virginia by simply keeping the car in D1 mode when cruising around town. There even times when cops would driving directly behind me and I was never pulled over not once. The reason is because the turbos act as mufflers themselves. If you stay off the throttle the car is quiet even with straightpiped, but once you get on it all hell brakes loose. Also the exhaust keeps getting louder every time I upgrade the power on the engine. More air getting pumped into the engines from the turbos equals more air exiting the engine. My car sounds better than ever, and with the Active Sound disabled the drone inside the cabin is cut by about 50%. On my recent 4,000 mile trip across the U.S. I found myself being far less fatigued because the ASD was disabled than from the first time I drive across the U.S. 3 years prior when it wasn't disabled.
My point is that catless downpipes with the RPi GTM is very livable even for ornery wives that think the might be too loud. Lol! Just make sure you get the Cold Start Delete and disable the ASD and you are good to go.

Yep that video was made with stock intakes. The real sound of the spooling comes from the exhaust though because the straightpipes have the muffler delete. Makes all the difference.
