Front license plates

I realize this has been discussed before, but the family and I are moving to Texas in the summer so if you have front license plates mounted please post a pic. I'm trying to decide which route to take. Thanks.

I live in Texas and refuse to put it on. I'll roll the dice. I've had my car for 3 years and never had a problem.

It's a little different in my case, I would get a ticket every time I enter Fort Bliss.

good one! I've already searched the web, saw a couple cars with NY plates. Trying to get a fresh perspective.

This could work but doesn't look like they have one for the F10

I've done some research on those as well, not feeling the off center look + it interferes with the parking sensors.

Here in IL - I refuse unless absolutely necessary. Just can't do it. I actually have a holder from here:
U.S. Millworks...and I have it in the trunk just in case I get nervous. Might be a good compromise for you.

I've passed tons of locals without a second glance...but I hear downtown might be a different story.

How about none?

I have been driving without them for about 7-8 years now in maybe more than 10 states. I have never been pulled over

I've always assumed the local leos are pissed off because they could only warn violators for years. As of September 1st 2013, it's up to a $200 fine!

Does your car have a front license plate? If not, you could face a $200 fine

I need to enter Ft Bliss at least once a day, so up to $1000 a week for fines? The military police are worst than the leos in VA!

I have mine mounted to the toe hook. Before that I zip tied the front plate to the bottom center air channel. (Probably bad for airflow though)

Its up to the discretion of the officer really. In Plano and some of the surrounding they are giving out fix-it-tickets, so if you mount your front plate and take it to the court house for inspection all you have to do is pay the small court fee and be on your way. It's about $10 or so.

But if they give you the full fine of $200 it is a straight fine and no way out of it. Just depends who pulls you over. The state troopers are more likely to either give you a warning or the straight up fine.

You shouldn't have a problem being in the city. A lot of my clients at work run into issues once they travel across state out of the city and go into the country portions of Texas where they look for any traffic offense to make revenue for the small cities.

TX plate on SG. Color matched mount and frame (from iND).

For me it's not worth the headache of not having one. Wold rather not give cops a reason to pull me over.

I drilled it in and it hurt but I def don't think it detracts from the beauty of the car. The color of this plate also plays well with the m colors. I personally don't like offset plates. I used to it and would do it again in a snap.
