Folks I have an E70 X5M with S63 (non-TU) engine. There’s not a lot of traffic on the X5M forum so figured I’d ask here as engines are similar.

I’m in the process of rebuilding my turbos but need help on how to separate the hot/cold sides to remove the turbine shaft.

I removed the small v-band clamp but they’re still tightly held together. I removed the outer cold side shell and have the cold side turbine exposed but there is a ring plate that I’m not sure how to remove. Or if I even need to remove it to remove the shaft. See pics.

Suggestions on next steps to keep separating this thing are very much appreciated.
