Can you replace CCB rotors with steel rotors?

Just ordered ceramic brakes on 2016 build. Looking a long way down the road - when these need to be replaced - can you replace them with steel rotors/pad and keep the calipers?

You will kill the rotors doing that and will not perform either.

Be careful in the cold with those CCBs. The do not perform to well

rotors

OK

to stop this discussion quickly, you will be unable to physically connect pieces.
Rotors and calipers are both different dimensions and offsets .

Both setups are made specifically for their corresponding parts, pads ( compounds, temps, etc ) the same goes for the rotors and calipers.
They may look close enough from the outside, but.....no go

Sorry

If you don't track the car you can theoretically make them last for 100k miles. If you do track the car they might last 1500 track miles lol.

I'm looking at an M6 GC with CCB. I typically keep my cars until they reach 120K miles. I don't think I could swallow the enormous cost of replacing the ceramic rotors vs steel rotors. I've heard that some of the Porsche guys swap their CCB brakes for the steel brakes regularly for track use. I'm guessing unless anyone has tried to convert CCB to steel brakes since this thread was last updated that it's still not possible to swap them?

the selling point of ceramic is that you never have to replace them... I would worry about chipping them though.

You can only use ceramic with that set up.

https://www.racingbrake.com/ will turn out a replacement two piece iron rotor for the CCB for use with stock iron pads for about $3k/set. You just have to call them.
