Finally drove one...

So - after hanging out here for the last several months as an E60 M5 owner, I finally went and drove an F10 M5, thinking I should before ordering it up, in case there was something I couldn't live with.

The car is truly incredible. I drove a '13 with 25 miles on it -- they didn't have a used/broken in one on the lot -- so I didn't wind it out much, and was careful not to go up past 4500 rpm or so in consideration of the eventual owner -- but even so, this car is just incredible.

I can not believe how amazing that DCT trans is - shifts feel like those from a video game, snapping off in an unbelievably short amount of time, with barely any drama at all.

If you haven't experienced the M-DCT, do yourself a favor, find one to drive. I'm having trouble coming up with superlatives sufficient to describe it.

I can barely wait to call one my own!

lol...i remember the feeling. I drove a friends F10 M5 and I was at the dealership exactly 7 days later ordering one. Mind you, I had a new 2010 E60 at the time that didn't give me any problems. I just had to have it

Very cool of you to offer -- I'm inclined to take you up some time. I'd also like to see/hear your SS race mufflers -- that's you right?
