How to remove headlights?

How to remove 2012 F10 M5 headlights?
Do I need to remove the front bumper or not?

I asked that same question of my local paint shop and they say the bumper needs to come off to remove the headlights. I haven't confirmed that claim by trying to remove the lights yet. Wintertime project for me.

To completely remove the headlights you have to remove the bumper
