Changed wheels and tires and noticed I have no TPM in the wheels?
Is there some small device for TPM? Or does it measure at the hub?
I noticed this when I swapped the rubber out of my OEM wheels. |

Yes I don;t have it either. But i believe that the TPMS are somewhere built in the wheels. =)

It's pretty much combined in your valve stem. It's not in the hub.
Looks like the attached picture. A way to tell is if you can bend your valve stem, then you don't have it. If it is solid as pictured, then you have it. It easily can transfer over to your aftermarket wheels. |

Yes, the TPMS sensor is located in/part of the the valve stem on our F10's. If you change wheels and tires you will need another set to enable the system.
Of course you could use your old ones; though that would entail removing the tires from the Oem wheels to gain access to them. |

Canadian cars don't use the valve stem TPMS. Uses the ABS sensor I believe.

The standard in most countries is the lower cost one that uses the DSC sensors to determine if a tire is flat. Optionally you can have the full TPMS fitted (option 2VB). This one can display tire pressures and temperatures in Idrive and uses valve stem monitors. Due to regulations USA cars are fitted only with the full TPMS. You can tell if a car has the full TPMS by looking at its vale stems. If they are all metal they are usually full TPMS. Rubber ones have the lower system.

If you fit the correct type of TPMS sensors to your new wheels you will just have to reset the system via Idrive
