Motor mount replacement needed

I had my car on the lift and noticed that one of my motor mounts has leaked its hydraulic fluid out. Naturally i would want to change both at the same time, but it appears the only way to change them would be to drop the subframe.

Are there any DIYs for this or has it been discussed in the oast? Ive searched and havent found a lot of info.

I doubt very many engine mounts have been replaced yet. Best bet would be to read the TIS for the job and then go from there. You might be able to remove the bolts and jack up the engine a little, then slide them out/in. Probably wishful thinking though. haha

Good luck and keep us posted

Yeah i think its odd that at 50k miles i need to replace one, but here I am.

Im thinking that i will lift/support the motor with my engine hoist from the top and thrn drop the subframe. Its really inly like 6 bolts so hopefully all goes well. I will take lots of pictures for future DIYers
