sorry guys been busy with work. O man i tweeted BMW USA but as you know the same time i had the malfunction. (and figured i wait to reply back and see what happens ) I took the car to the dealer and they have had the car for a month now. When they opened up the engine they told me the walls inside the engine were scorched pretty bad. And they think that i need a new engine. But BMW has told them nothing, regarding what steps to take for the repair and i still have to wait longer. I was like are you kidding me, it shouldn't take longer then a few days to tell you what to do to the car. They just tell me to wait for a respond. So its looks like im still driving a 3 series for a another month.

I am going through a similar maybe the same issue with you.
Had been going to the dealership lets say like a once or twice per month for oil top up. coolant leak, turbo issue, brake, drivetrain malfunction.
Definitely the power is not there.

One day I was waiting on the red light and all the sudden car shook pretty bad, in a jerky way, then drive train malfunction popped. I immediately called the service centre and they scheduled me for maybe four days after. guess what this fucking malfunction disappeared... car doesnt shake annymore.(2014 October) Since then, I realized huge loss of power.

Everytime I went to this service in ONTARIO, mechanics and service magager were like "it is not happening now" yes they make me a liar in a way lol. The issue was turbo back then. So I took the car and drove for an hour to demonstrate that fucking turbo flapping noise when the gas was released. They see the problem and tell me "oh it is happening" they had to replace the turbo.

When I brought this power loss issue up. The only mechanic who seems to know a bit of M goes "We do not drive this type of car so we don't know if there is power loss or not"

Now I move to BC and hear this ping noise between 1500 rpm to 2500rpm.
Mechanic catches righ away and did some works on the module and pump.

Still the problem exists.

That flappy turbo noise is back again.

Took it again they report that I have been filling the lowest grade gas. I have been filling which was chevron 94. and I have been filling the most expensive gas at any cost for my hardwork return. This mechanic says "I believe you" lol

They recommended me to go with shell v-power for couple tanks and see how the engine responses.

I think my engine or turbo need proper attention?

Has anyone else had this issue? I've had my '13 M5 since it was new, so a little over 2 years. I just got my car back from routine service on Friday. My car was fine when I dropped it off. Now it feels like I've lost 200 hp. I can't even break the tires loose in first gear. I don't hear the turbo whine anymore either. Please help...

I'm in Ft Lauderdale. They found the issue. When I brought my car in for routine maintenance they noticed the upper oil pan manifold was cracked and leaking. While replacing the oil pan manifold they knocked one of the vacuum lines loose. Once they reconnected the vacuum line the turbos came back to life.
