I am old enough to realise that measuring yourself or being measured is usually a fruitless excercise. I can find heaps of people that would probably think I've done okay, and as many think I have 'flopped' somewhere along the way.
I'm delighted that some 20 year olds can enjoy M5's. I bought my first exciting car in my 20's and loved the experience. I have a good and much more 'successful' friend that bought yet another car a few years back (I have lost count how many in his garages right now), it was a mint Ferrari F40.... You know what he really covered but couldn't afford ? a 288 GTO. If he could have bought a 288 GTO he would have coveted something else ! I am happy with the M5 coveting a Ferrari FF, that I can't afford/justify. Took me forever to splash the cash on a new set of rims. I wonder if it had been a trivial amount of money I would appreciate them quite as much |

29, 3rd M car. Bought my first at 20 (tiag e46 m3 6sp comp). Not worth the headache to go back and read all the comments here, but this page alone seems entertaining. Either way, all hard work here, not that it matters, but happy to be back in an M and loving my f10 M5.

Just turned 52 and retired earlier this year. Old enough and fortunate to realize having wealth means having choices in life but doesn’t guarantee health and happiness. Dave |

Entertaining thread
I had my 1st m5 at 29. And at 29 im on my 14th bmw 18th car Lol I worked my ass off since 18 no hand outs from anyone moved out at 18 and started my life (no kids, just working) Some I understand will ask how do you afford it? Answer is : you work your ass off, i give credit to all that can afford the depreciated car now, I don't look down on any hard working person wether its handed to to them (financial or working for your family) you are still working just life is easier for some than others thats all, as long as they are working for for wether to family or not, work is work! Some of us just have a tough time or hard time affording it than others but still we have some worth ethics and choices in life!!! Best is Just enjoy the cars we own and live life to its full potential. Im waiting on New M5 as well. |

Getting in on the action as a fellow non-M5 owner, before thread closed due two bickering non-M5 owners on a M5 thread.
(31 now, but debating M5 vs M6 GC as my next daily.)

48; bought my first M (F10) a year ago after owning a slew of non M 5 series. It was a gift for getting a MASSIVE promotion at work.
