Warranty question.
Im not sure if this was covered in the past but looking for some advise. Im looking to get into an M5 in the next year and I have question about existing new car warranty and possibly getting an extended warranty through BMW.
If I find a car that is not sold in a bmw dealership and the car is under 4 years/50k miles. -Does BMW service department honor any warranty coverage under the new car warranty regardless of where the car was purchased? -Once purchased and owned for a few months, could I have BMW certify it to extend the warranty coverage to +2 years and up to 100k? Both of these questions will determine if its worth looking for a non CPO car or should I just go straight to a CPO M5. TIA. |

Thank you! I would agree with you about going CPO but sometimes the initial capital ask is much better with CPO as suppose to adding it later down the line.
Im keeping my options open. I usually buy from forum members as the deals are usually better so I want to make sure I can get warranty cover and then add warranty down the line. |

Agree with the CPO route, always get it whenever possible. I've had an M5 and M6, and both cars have utilized the CPO for major repairs, and all I've spent was $50!
