Blacked out headlamps?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Has anyone looked into or tried doing this? I've been searching the web/forums for a few hours and haven't found anything for the F10 yet. I want to paint both the white plastic piece and the bottom gray piece matte black, i think it will complement the rest of the car since I've already blacked out the grilles, sidemarkers, roof, rims, door handle slivers, emblems and exhaust, but also I'm pretty sure it will look badass! I found them for quite a few other bimmers, but none for the F10 5 series. It appears the M does use the same headlamps as all the F10 5 series bimmers (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm thinking it may be a DIY project...I might just buy an extra set of lamps, dismantle and paint. I suppose the biggest issue is that these are vacuum sealed, or so I've been told, I can't find any specs or general info on the lamps so not sure what to expect. Anyone have any thoughts ideas?

You'll have to break apart the head light. No easy task. I wouldn't try it myself. Good luck!

dude, first off that makes no sense. you want light coming out from your headlights, not getting blocked. second, it's an m5, not a charger or knight rider. stay classy. no offense intended of course.

Unless the OP edited his post to clarify since your response, I don't get from him that he is trying to tint the headlamp housing such that the light emission would be reduced.

To the OP:

If you do it (or find someone that will do it), I'm sure quite a few would like to see the outcome. Might want to photoshop a quick vision of what you want if you do send it off just to make sure you get the style you are looking for.
