F10 m5 lci brake squeal

I have a 2014 car with standard brakes, having covered 4500 miles I have developed a brake squeal when braking normally coming to a stop . Have any other members experienced this , if so has anyone found a cure ?

so far at 6k miles and no brake squeal. I did recently get my front rotors and pads replaced as I was getting steering wheel vibration when braking from over 60mph.

I sometimes do around raining times and all you need is a hard brake at a stop light usually takes care of it for me for a day or two...
Not a big deal

Mine make a big racket. It's currently at the dealer as an air conditioning hose sprung a leak. I mentioned the brake noise and they said they know about it and are going to put on special new pads as it's a common problem. Mileage 8700.

I used Turtle wax wheel cleaner, worked like a charm.

Just got it back from the dealer yesterday with the new pads and it is as
quiet as when it arrived brand new. Let's see what happens as time passes.....

My 2014 LCI (non ceramic) brakes are already doing it.

My car has 80 miles on it! Yes, 80 miles and the brakes are already screaming.

Got the brake squeal after dealer changed out my rotors and pads. Took it back yesterday and they again replaced the pads. Crossing fingers it stays quiet.

Have you looked in the manual to see if there's a procedure for burnishing the CCMs? If so you need to do that after about 200-300 miles, then the CCMs hopefully will be much quieter.

Brake issue

I had the same issue on my 13' M5. Lasted a year. Replaced all pads and rotors once. Finally took it to the dealer and was ready to get rid of the car.

They worked with the factory engineers and replaced something on the front brakes. The squeaking brakes are gone. No issues for 4 months.

Have your dealer call Dave, the Service manager at BMW of Murray in Utah to get the part numbers for the fix.

Good luck.

I took mine to the dealer 3 times for that issue during 4500 miles driven and still have freaking squeal noise at low speed brake. I am trying so hard not to take my car to the dealer but I guess I have to...
