Anti Dazzle.
I had my car coded and I am having issues with the Anti Dazzle. I have seen numerous videos on how this system works. My car is just putting the high beams on and no "Dazzling".... Can someone help me please

it only works if your going above 40 miles an hour on dark roads. In heavily lighted areas it doesn't turn on the highbeam. Who coded your car do you remember what they did ?

I coded OP's car. I removed 8S4 and 5AP, then VO coded all the modules except DME as required.
I know the F80/82 VLD coding requires modifications to certain parameters in the LHM module: LHM [43] M1 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F030 M2 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F030 M3 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F030 M4 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F030 M14 init_US_F030-->init_ECE_F030 M15 init_US_F030-->init_ECE_F030 LHM [44] M1 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F025 M2 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F025 M3 init_US_F025-->Unknown, Werte= FA, FA, 00, 19, FA, FA, 00 M4 init_US_F025-->init_ECE_F030 M6 init_ECE_F030_RL-->init_ECE_F030 M7 init_ECE_F030_RL-->init_ECE_F030 M8 init_ECE_F030_RL-->init_ECE_F030 M9 init_ECE_F030_RL-->init_ECE_F030 M14 Unknown-->init_ECE_F030 M15 Unknown-->init_ECE_F030 I was told for the F10 M5 those parameters need not be changed. Can someone verify this? |

The car I refer to in that post was actually an F10 M5.

In any case, I am getting confused here. The CAFDs you shared with me (which I thought reflected the coding values before you did any coding, since adaptive light distribution and no-glare HBA were not enabled) already had the LHM parameters set to the correct values for no-glare HBA (those valued are detailed in my "How To" for the F3x/F8x and repeated in your post #3 above). So no change should have been needed there (unlike what happens for the F3x/F8x). Yet you say above that you "changed these LHM parameters to EU spec". : You then told me that after you removed 5AP/8S4 and VO coded you were getting fault messages when the high beams were active, so I showed you a comparison between the LHM modules on the M5 and those on my M4 (which has no-glare HBA working fine) and pointed to additional parameters that might have been causing the issue (but of course, the only way to make sure is to try). But then you told me yesterday that the fault messages actually related to the cornering lights and that for some reason you had not tried those additional parameters. : : I know that the full anti-glare HBA is now working fine on F3x/F8x with the proper coding, so I believe it should be possible to get this working on the F10 too, but it is difficult for me to suggest anything unless I understand exactly what you have tried so far.

I think there is some miscommunication/confusion with another member going on here.
I'll PM you the exact steps that I've performed with this car and the results. Last edited by dbworld4k; 08-13-2015 at 11:45 AM.. |

This all that needs to be done for coding f10/f06 with LED Headlights
** To code no-dazzle back into high beam assistant on F10/F06: Step 1. Remove regional-specific options that eliminate this functionality -> Edit FA (VO) and remove 5AP and 8S4 from the SALAPA-element Step 2. VO Code KAFAS2 ECU Module: -> Connect -> Read FA (VO) -> Activate FA (VO) -> Read SVT (VCM) -> Right-Click on the KAFAS2 node (the KAFAS2 ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) -> Select CODE Step 4: Edit or verify that HU_NBT -> 3000 -> HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT =akiv " -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QUOTE=dbworld4k;18397074]I coded OP's car. On my car the road needs to be fairly dark before it kicks on. But it works well above 40 mph again
m3/m4 f30/f32/f33 coding is different the link above explains it. You do have code the headlight modules like you said in you post above. |

anybody else can confirm that this works on the F10 M5 with these simple codes? are these all you really need?

I've passed along all the info for where I was on F07/10 LED GFHB to well respected members who will double check before a guide is published. I did manage to get it functioning 100% with extensive reprogramming, but saw that what I was accomplishing via that route was also present in the CAFD files. Even though the shared Werte values between the US and RoW cars are the "same", the Boolean and Bitmasks occasionally gave different NCD (saved BYTE) values. I changed the Bitmasks and some additional FDL lines and it appeared to work with a full square tunnel present in all the speed ranges. I just hope it's repeatable. The long route is a true pain in the ass. It will still require diagnostic teach-in and GFHB alignment however. |

Lemetier, I hope you're recovering well.
A couple questions, Does re-coding the car to try this out erase something in the computer which is why it requires Teach-in? If someone codes their car to try it, and then decides to code it back to original, would it again require Teach-in to go back to original settings if the Teach-in had never been performed during the trial? Not doubting what you say just trying to understand. Also, I'm curious as to why the F10 seems to be the only BMW that has to have this special procedure to get the GFHB to work since the other chassis can just code it in. Thanks, Dave |

If GFHB was working properly on a US F10, the interior of the red box should be dark and no wider than the vertical blue lines. |

Can someone tell me everything I need step by step from absolutely zero knowledge on how to code to make the Anti-dazzle system work? I have an F01 with everything needed.

is there a definitive solution to enabling the anti-dazzle feature? i've heard people can do it but others say it can't be done. im mostly concerned with a 14 M5 LCI with LED and driver assistance.
i've combed over so many threads but can't pin down exactly what needs to be done. anyone have clarity? |

i was afraid you'd say that Almaretto; i know you were active on the bimmerfest thread. is it because of the options or hardware version that makes it work for some and not others?
is it worth trying what jimmy9980 posted above? i don't follow what lemetier says is needed. |
