Beat me ;-)

I really think my Singapore Bird runs better than ever before. I was never able to produce a 3.6 secs. Can you beat me ;-) Show me your laptimer screenshots.

I have to admit, I find it quite hard to reach times below 4.0. I heard people claim before that under 4 is a given on the F10 M5. But I have to tell you that 9 out of 10 of my runs are above 4.

Of course all bone stock non CP 2013 F10 M5. Stock engine (well once drowned before ;-), stock exhaust, tires etc. Suspension on comfort.

Will put in the BMS stage 1 this week and RPi air scoops. Let's see how that changes numbers.

BTW, we are on again this week, August 14 at Joe Canal's on RT 1 for the weekly/bi-weekly meet'n'cruise - we had so much fun last week. See NJ sub forum for details.

Road was as level as I could see but surface felt very new with excellent grip. This was one of probably 10 tries this evening (I know that's kinda sad ;-) This one was *with* launch control but I tuned it down to 2600 rpm and I had almost now wheel slip both on launch as well as on shift from 1-2. Didn't even make it to 3rd gear.

But again, I have probably tried a total of 50+ 0-60s with the laptimer and none has been 3.6. One was 3.8, multiple ones 3.9 and all other 4.0 and more.

Btw., one nice set of cars there, @Vic55 ;-)

I pulled a 3.1 0-60. Someone on here calculated it based on my time slip.

"lunch control" usually slows me down because I'm 2 lbs heavier.

SORRY but "whats the point"?.

It's a Saloon car after all not a race car.

In case you haven't noticed this is a car enthusiasts' forum and I would imagine that how fast our cars accelerate is of interest to most of us. I'll admit I'm not a big 0-60 guy and I will probably never use launch control but a big, heavy, rwd "saloon" car getting to 60 that quickly is pretty impressive. I didn't want to buy a race car, just a blazing fast luxury sedan.

Just to clarify: My intention is really not to brag about the 3.6 but I am rather trying to make the point of how difficult I find it to generate these times. Wanted to check in with everybody if that is a shared sentiment or if other here on the forum can run under 4 secs laptimer times every time without a problem.

I do get a better kick out of rolling acceleration and certainly much better out of cornering but this is a lot of fun too ;-)

Agreed. The rolling acceleration of this car is the main reason I bought it.

I think this comment indicates you're ready for a 7 series.

Yep your right, but repeated 0-60 blasts does nothing for me, just traffic light bravado IMO.
More fun rolling out the power on the "M".
