I think the BMW has the cleanest, sleekest exterior of the trio. The Benz looks menacing. The simplicity of the BMW's interior is attractive as well compared with the seemingly cluttered nature of the others. All that clutter is probably in an iDrive menu in the BMW though . I agree with the poster who thinks the BMW will likely be the one to take the hearts as this has been BMW's forte from day 0. Where is the XF-R?

These are all incredible cars and I can admit that...
The ///M5 is still just overall better in every way.

I really like the numbers and looks of the E63. It just looks mean.

The M5 just looks so good, if a tad large.

The CTSv looks 6 years old, and not in the nice BMW way of having a timeless, "that car will look great in 20 years," look.

I find it very interesting that the turbocharged M5 makes it's peak torque at 1,500 RPM, whereas the supercharged Caddy makes it's torque peak at 3,800 RPM. So much for turbo lag and instant supercharger power.

Also....post fuel economy numbers in the chart.

Of course I am biased... but the CTS-V sedan (automatic) 0-60 is generally rated at 3.9, not 4.4.

The M5 'ring time is going to tell the real story; stay tuned.

Yes because you've driven the M5 enough to know that the steering sucks. This car will no doubt have a tighter steering rack. No doubt that the PT and PTS will eat up any of these cars in a straight line. On the track,we shall wait and see. After all, the AWD M5 is supposedly being produced at some point

I don't really like the CTS-V sedan, but I love the V coupe, which is why I own one. As far as sedans go, the M5 and E63 are pretty far above the CTS-V in terms of styling.

Between the M5 and E63....that's a tough one. The M5 is underwhelmingly understated, but still has beautiful lines. I can't wait to see more in white, especially with aftermarket wheels.
The E63 just has a boss presence, however people that don't know how special it is just look at the car as another vanilla benz.

The CTS-V has a design language that just translates better into coupe form, and the coupe is truly stunning in person. Honestly though I'm selling mine as soon as this new M5 hits, a BMW TT V8 is pretty much too hard to not consider. It's true what they say, once you go BMW, it's hard to go back

Winner of this comparo, and the 'I want one' contest=M5.

Best regards,

I though the purpose of getting a AMG or ///M Car or V was to get the Performance Package? Looks like a MB attempt to squeeze more money out of you.

have you seen a 550 or a 7 series?

Apparently a 550i with M sport just wouldn't do it for you because of those darn exhaust tips.
