coolant level low...need help please

I was on the mountain over the weekend and had coolant low alert on the dash appear. I purchased pristine coolant and topped it up. However, i still have a warning sign on and it deos not go away. I checked th level, it is still between min. and max. Today is sunday and dealer service is closed. Can I drive and go to the dealer tomorrow? I still have to drive a couple of 100 miles to go home.

as long as your engine doesn't get a chance to really heat up (i.e. stuck in traffic) it should be fine, especially if those miles can be done on the motorway

do you have a leak ?

I had a leak thru the coolant tubings (right underneath the plastic engine cover). The factory clamps are not tight enough.

Open the hood and check to see any greenish coolant that had been dried off.

Had a low coolant warning the other day as well. Checked under the plastic cover and saw what looked like dried coolant on the engine.

Dealership said they did the campaign to replace the heat mats back in December. Maybe they didn't replace the clamps as well.

I topped off with pentofrost nf and water. Assume this is a slow leak? Dealer appointment next week.

Anyway to clean the engine?

Thx

Ok. So it was a leak. Any concern with leaked dried coolant on the engine? Can't see how deep into the engine the coolant went.

I believe you checked the intercooler fluid level , not the same as the primary engine coolant level detector which is electronic .
